CASE STUDY

International Astronautical Congress 2022, Paris
Buble Studios

Once in a while a truly awe inspiring project comes along, with a client who has a simple and clear vision, to use creativity to advance everyones future!

Buble Studios were referred to us by our US partner, with a brief to build a unique, custom pavilion at the International Astronautical Congress 2022, taking place in Paris.

But this would be no ordinary pavilion. The team, a creative studio, had a bold vision of creating an immersive experience for clients to the show. Using multi-sensory technology, we needed to produce a stand that could unite the clients own founding ambitions of ‘colliding artistry, storytelling and science’.

Throughout the the spring and summer of 2022, we and our partners worked collaboratively to design and manufacture features that utilised lighting, mechanical motion, tactile materials on a footprint that combined open space with an enclosed emotive ‘cave’.

Our production team built an excellent and close working relationship based on regular and clear communication to make sure that every issue was tackled and every opportunity taken.

“This partnership with Rocket was a dream come true. This 8 month partnership allowed us to create an extremely unique and engaging miniature theme park experience for the 2022 International Astronautical Congress, in Paris, France. By dreaming big and thinking outside the box, we were able to garner massive attention, procure new clients, and transcend the current paradigm of space conference exhibitions and booths. We hope this creative collaboration can serve as a case study of the unlimited possibilities accessible to all of us when we harness the powers of creativity, vision, and hard-work.”

And we called in specialists Universal Live and Felt whose experience of set design at live events was invaluable both in the development and the installation phases of the event.

The takeaway for us was the power of collaboration. When challenged to think differently, it is critical to work with a broad range of specialists to push the boundaries of what is possible. But underlying collaboration is organisation and communication. Following our experience of this project, we have put in place significant process improvements to our internal proceedings and are building a team of project managers to facilitate more, comparable projects.

“We love working with creative clients like Buble Studios. Kevin and his team challenged us every step; to be bold and ambitious in what we could produce; to think deeply about the experience they wanted their visitors to have. In all my years working in the creative service industry, I have never worked on a project that truly encapsulated the phrase ‘thinking outside of the box’. And in the end, we all created something really special for IAC 2022"
