CASE STUDY

Marketing, Glasgow’s Golden Generation
Brand Design, Strategy and Campaign

In late 2020 we were approached by Glasgow’s Golden Generation for marketing support. The team were keen to revamp their brand; to create a fresh new look to support their promotion of their services.

COVID-19 had been a huge challenge for Glasgow’s Golden Generation. The charity provides older adults in Glasgow with three centres where people can meet up, share stories and feel part of a community. Loneliness and isolation is a big problem for older people and Glasgow’s Golden Generation has been supporting people with companionship, meals access to support for over 70 years.

They have met the challenge of COVID and the social isolation it has created head on. Day centres could not open, so the team embraced outreach visiting older adults in their home. Volunteers bring shopping and spend time with people; while a new app was created and tablets distributed to help older adults meet up online!

The charity needs support to thrive; through fundraising, volunteer support and with the partnership of other agencies.

We wanted to create a logo design which encapsulates the spirit of the charity.

We also wanted to support their resource building ambitions:

  • By developing a formal partnership strategy to identify organisations for whom they could collaborate;

  • By developing a marketing campaign to tell the stories of the people behind the charity. Called ‘A day in the life’, it will showcase the experiences of staff, volunteers and older adults told via digital media.

We like to work closely with our clients and we were delighted to be able to join the marketing and digital team for a few months to work on this project.

This was a brilliant project to work on for a really worthwhile organisation. We hope the audience love the new logo as much as we enjoyed designing it.
